We consider here the exterior boundary value problem for compressible viscous flow around airfoils. In a first approximation, the viscosity effects are neglected at some distance to the airfoil. The unbounded domain is decomposed by an artificial boundary into a bounded computational domain (near field) and an associated far field. The complete system of conservation laws, modelling viscous flow in the near field is coupled with simplified models for inviscid flow in the far field. The use of the heterogeneous domain decomposition method including physically and mathematically justified transmission conditions at the artificial interface provides one with a quite accurate approximate solution, modelling the viscous–inviscid interaction between the two model zones. However, such a solution does not take into account the viscosity in the far field and does not satisfy the natural transmission conditions at the artificial interface (i.e. continuity of the solution and of the normal flux). In order to get some information for the a-posteriori improvement of this solution, we introduce one-dimensional transmission-boundary value problems, obtained by an appropriate dimensional reduction of the coupled problems from CFD. The one-dimensional problems are analyzed in the framework of singular perturbation theory. We consider formal asymptotic expansions to construct appropriate boundary layer corrections of the coupled problem modelling the viscous–inviscid interaction. Our one-dimensional analysis seems to allow an extension to higher dimensions and therefore could be used in the computation of the solution to the compressible Navier–Stokes problem by updating the solution of the approximation by a (degenerate) Navier–Stokes/Euler problem with boundary layer viscosity correction terms. Toric dynamical systems are known as complex balancing mass action systems in the mathematical chemistry literature, where many of their remarkable properties have been established. They include as special cases all deficiency zero systems and all detailed balancing systems. One feature is that the steady state locus of a toric dynamical system is a toric variety, which has a unique point within each invariant polyhedron. We develop the basic theory of toric dynamical systems in the context of computational algebraic geometry and show that the associated moduli space is also a toric variety. It is conjectured that the complex balancing state is a global attractor. We prove this for detailed balancing systems whose invariant polyhedron is two-dimensional and bounded.  相似文献

We give “syntactic’’ characterizations of context-sensitive languages (CSLs) in terms of some restricted models of symport/antiport P systems. These are the first such characterizations of CSLs in terms of P systems. In particular, we show the following for any language L over a binary alphabet:

Let m   be any integer ≥11. Then L is a CSL if and only if it can be accepted by a restricted symport/antiport P system with m membranes and multiple number of symbols (objects). High-fidelity wavelet transforms can facilitate visualization and analysis of large scientific data sets. However, it is important that salient characteristics of the original features be preserved under the transformation. We present a set of filter design axioms in the spatial domain which ensure that certain feature characteristics are preserved from scale to scale and that the resulting filters correspond to wavelet transforms admitting in-place implementation. We demonstrate how the axioms can be used to design linear feature-preserving filters that are optimal in the sense that they are closest in L2 to the ideal low pass filter. We are particularly interested in linear wavelet transforms for large data sets generated by computational fluid dynamics simulations. Our effort is different from classical filter design approaches which focus solely on performance in the frequency domain. Results are included that demonstrate the feature-preservation characteristics of our filters.  相似文献

This paper presents some results of a study concerning the radio propagation at 60GHZ in residential environments performed by theIETR (Electronic and Telecommunication Institute of Rennes, France). This study is part of aRNTR project named “COMMINDOR”. This exploratory project concerns the very high data rate (155 Mbit/s) and small range (about 10 m) radio communication systems for future home networks, which will permit multimedia equipment interconnection and control. The study is based on several measurement campaigns realized with a channel sounder based on the sliding correlation technique. This channel sounder has a 500MhZ bandwidth and a 2.3 ns effective time resolution. The measurements have been performed in residential furnished environments. The study of the angles-of-arrival (AOA) emphases the importance of openings (such as doors, staircase, etc.) for the radio propagation between adjacent rooms. A particular attention is paid to the influence of human activity on radio propagation. It is shown that people movements can make the propagation channel unavailable during about one second. From the characterization study of the indoor radio propagation, several recommendations concerning the deployment of the very high data rate 60GHZ wireless networks are derived.  相似文献

We consider array languages (sets of picturesconsisting of symbols placed in the lattice points of the 2D grid) and thepossibility to handle them with P systems. After proving binary normal formsfor array matrix grammars (which, even in the case when no appearance checking isused, are known to generate the array languages of arbitrary array grammars), weprove that the P systems with context-free rules (with three membranes and no control on the communication or the use of rules) are computationally universal, able togenerate all computable array languages. Thermoresponsive colloidal microgels were prepared by precipitation copolymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) and N-hydroxyethylacrylamide (HEAM) with various concentrations of a cross-linker in the presence of an anionic surfactant, sodium dodecylsulphate (SDS). The volume phase transition temperature (VPTT) of the prepared microgels was studied by dynamic light scattering (DLS), ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (UV–vis) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy. In addition, atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to characterize the polydispersity and morphology of the microgels. Results indicated that poly(NIPAM-co-HEAM) microgels are spherical and monodisperse. VPTTs of microgels determined by DLS and UV–vis methods are almost the same and very close to the human body temperature, presenting the microgels as candidates for biomedical application. The temperature at which the phase transition occurred is nearly independent of the cross-linking density, whereas the transition range is deeply influenced by temperature. Also, the SDS concentration was increased to decrease the average hydrodynamic size of the microgels, due to the electrostatic repulsion between the charged particles during the polymerization process. 1H-NMR spectra of the microgels show a decrease in peak intensity with an increased temperature due to a reduction in molecular mobility of the polymer segments. Release rates of propranolol from microgels are deeply influenced by temperature; below the VPTT at 25 °C, the drug is rapidly released at a rate comparable to that of a free drug, whereas above the VPTT (37 and 42 °C), a fraction of the drug is mechanically expulsed in the first five min, followed by a prolonged release.  相似文献

A series of four copoly(azomethine‐sulfone)s have been synthesized and extensively characterized. The chemical design has been thought to obtain semiconducting properties and thermotropic behavior matching the processing of the materials from the ordered melted state, suitable for the spontaneous alignment of molecules in the active layer on a substrate. Prototypes of thin films based on this series of polymers have been electrically and structurally characterized. It was found that the respective polymers show typical semiconducting properties. The thermal properties with particular reference to their mesomorphic state were checked by using differential scanning calorimetry, polarized light microscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis techniques. Morphological characterization was realized by atomic force microscopy and X‐ray diffraction measurements. UV‐cured nanocomposite films were prepared from acrylic monomer and two types of nanomaterial: zirconium vinylphosphonate and zirconia, in the presence of a photoinitiator. The films were characterized by FTIR, SEM, and AFM. FTIR spectra showed the disappearance of band assigned to the CC group both of monomer and zirconium vinylphosphonate by polymerization and the presence of the phosphonate group in polymer. The influence of zirconium vinylphosphonate and zirconia content on thermooxidative degradation of polymeric films was studied by thermogravimetry. The central composite experimental design and response surface methodology have been employed for statistical modeling and analysis of the results dealing with nickel electroplating process. The empirical models developed in terms of design variables (current density J (A/dm2), temperature T (°C) and pH) have been found statistically adequate to describe the process responses, i.e. cathode efficiency Y (%), coating thickness U (μm), brightness V (%) and hardness W (HV). The graphical representations consisted of 2D contour plots and 3D surface plots have been used for exploring and analysis of response surfaces in order to identify the main, quadratic and interaction effects. The multi-response optimization of nickel electroplating process has been carried out by means of desirability function approach. To this end, a genetic algorithm has been used for mathematical optimization of the multi-response problem. The optimization algorithm has conducted to a set of equivalent solutions named Pareto optimal set. The confirmation runs have been employed in order to make a decision about the optimal solution approved by experiment. Thus, the optimum conditions of nickel electroplating has been defined in this work as J* = 5.35 (A/dm2), T* = 33.44 (°C) and pH* = 6.22 and respectively the responses confirmed by experiment were Y = 79.12 ± 0.18 (%), U = 52.77 ± 0.48 (μm), V = 26.12 ± 0.45 (%) and W = 371.6 ± 1.77 (HV). In such conditions the quality of nickel electroplating deposit was the best one in accordance with experimental results.  相似文献
